City centres are increasingly often dynamically locked down for cars. By doing this dynamically it is possible to be selective in which vehicles are allowed access (ie. taxis, destination traffic & emergency vehicles). Less cars in a city centres results is well appreciated by residents and visitors. Using the central management system it is possible to control which group is allowed access and at which times. The selected group can be allowed access using the following means of identification:
- NFC / Mifare
- Barcode tickets
- Licence plate recognition
- Long range reader
- Intercom
It is also often desirable to install security camera’s of which the footage can be purposefully searched. UK Parking Design’s system utilizes event recording enabling an operator to have direct access to footage belonging to entry or exit.
